Meet the Committee

Our committee is composed of passionate parents and allies of the autistic community, driven by a desire to foster change and promote inclusivity.

We have united under a common goal to increase accessibility, understanding and acceptance for people with Autism in the local and wider community.

Sinead Hunt 

Mum to wonderful neurodivergent children, Sinead is excited to see how Autism Friendly Blarney can impact the area. Sinead is inspired by her beautiful neurodiverse family and the tribe of wonderful people I've met along the way.

Eileen Davis

Eileen lives in Blarney and is a mum to an autistic daughter. She founded the Autism Friendly Blarney committee and is passionate about making the local environment more accessible to autistic and neurodivergent people.

Karen Halpin

Karen lives in Blarney and is Mum to a neurodivergent daughter. Having worked in healthcare for 25 years across various fields, Karen has alot of experience in the world of different abilities and neurodivergence. Passionate about making Blarney an inclusive village for all.

Aisling lives in Blarney and is Mum to an autistic child.  As a parent and mental health professional, Aisling has a passion for enhancing the quality of life and overall well-being of all neurodivergent individuals in her community.

Maire O Sullivan

Maire is a native of Blarney and mother to a beautiful autistic boy.

Maire is conscious that if an autistic person can't go somewhere then the whole family can't go; this is why Maire got involved with the committee and would like to make Blarney as inclusive as possible for autistic people.
